Ludwig

Deferent Golgi What would a game based on the life of Wittgenstein be like? From this whacked-out album, I imagine something like Maniac Mansion, with experiments gone wrong and evil tentacles, except they’re purely conceptual and not real. Someone needs to hurry up and make this. Favorite track: Moving to Cambridge and Meeting Bertrand Russell - 1911.

about

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The idea behind this album was to make a soundtrack for a video game that could never be released for obvious reasons: it would have been a failure. Using DefleMask to reproduce the 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System sound chips, the point was to make believe that the game was almost ready but that the developers finally failed to defend the game to the investors. Who could have bought a game about some of important parts of the life of one of the most important philosophers of the XXth century ?
Anyway, I also wanted to create a game that would have helped me make the screen captures that you would find on the cardboard cover of the NES cartridge.
Time and my dilettante character decided differently. Also another reason is that some of the tracks were made with VCV rack, which is not exactly the same as the 8-but sound engines...
Anyway enjoy this potential soundtrack and maybe learn about Ludiwig Wittgenstein...

All tracks were either with VCV Rack or DefleMask, all freewares. Some final effects were added with Reaper, also a freeware...

I am no Rob Hubbard, Ben Daglish or Nobuo Uematsu but here it is !
